The drunk, unlicensed criminal got away with it and might still be driving around somewhere
Really bad! My wife was ordered to appear in court to serve as the principal witness on a case she was victimless a drunk unlicensed driver. She received the letter on the same day she was supposed to appear on court at 8:45 we got the letter at 11:30 on that same day.

I have never witnessed a more UNPROFESSIONAL staff in my entire life. McDonald's has a more professional, even caring staff than who I interacted with today. The woman down stairs asked what I was there for. Not even looking up at me. sent me upstairs to domestic to file a restraining order. I went upstairs and approached the window. The woman asked how she can help me in the quietest voice and even she never looked up at me or acknowledged my presence. She said the court was closing in 5 minutes and there was nothing she could do. Mind you it was almost 1:00?? I could barely understand her first and foremost. She said I had to go BACK downstairs to the first woman I spoke with. I'm not playing a game. This was a serious matter I needed addressed and no one seemed to care. I called a member of the court right back after he reached out to me. The phone rang for 10 minutes, I got voicemail and STILL have not heard from him. This place is an absolute joke and needs to be shut down.
Awful. I have gone into this courthouse many times to file a restraining order and not once have I delt with anyone professional. The ladies who work with HAWC are very kind but everyone else has been insensitive and rude. As I sat there in fear waiting for my order to be processed the lady calls down to the front office regarding my case and I hear her over the phone making fun of my Asian name and laughing. How inconsiderate. It took me everything I had to hold back my tears and from saying something because that was not the reason I was there. I was seeking help from being abused and the very people who were supposed to help made me made me feel just as low as the man who hit me. I am embarrassed and hurt. It's hard enough taking the steps to seek help and I did not feel any better leaving that courthouse. I was granted a temporary restraining order and in all honesty I don't think I have the will in my to go back to extend it. I do not want to face those people again, the same way I do not want to face my abuser. I feel sorry for anyone else who has to go into that place to file an order and I pray they don't leave feeling the way I did.
